Baggage Reclaim

It’s been a really, really bad day at work...

'Baggage Reclaim' is a piece of new-writing produced by Oida! Theatre which explores themes of identity, perception, and hierarchy.

Stuck in the miserable baggage reclaim department, with the ominous presence of HR looming just out of sight, the monotonous, mundane, and slightly bizarre work-lives of two baggage reclaim workers get turned upside down when a new team member joins them.

When personal attacks, heated arguments and a game breaching GDPR regulations threaten to ruin the delicate balance the characters have created, will they be able to deal with the baggage, or will it all be too much to handle?

This piece is made with the support of ARTS31 and the Gulbenkian Arts Centre

7th and 8th June 2024

A Work-in-Progress sharing of the production at Theatre Deli.

As part of the Shift+Space Festival, the company had 12-hours to 'shift' the performance in response to audience feedback from the first night, ready to present something altered (and hopefully improved!) on the second.

GENfest24 at the Gulbenkian Arts Centre

29th June 2024

A one-off, free-admission, BSL interpreted performance of Baggage Reclaim, performed at the Gulbenkian Theatre as part of GENfest 2024.
