Oida! Theatre aims to create pieces of new writing that are thought-provoking, playful, and eclectic, putting womxn at the forefront of our narratives.
Our work explores the many intricacies of the feminine experience, whether positive or negative. We seek not to provide definitive answers but to challenge ourselves, our collaborators, and our audiences to ask questions.
Oida! strives to ensure that our creative practice provides brave spaces in which women and gender-queer people feel at ease and able to express themselves creatively and proudly.

Creative expression - For us, it’s all about the journey; The freedom and joy that the creative process provides. It’s not about having a perfect production on the first draft, but continually exploring new ideas, developing new skills, and evolving with the pieces we make.
Community - We want to build a strong, supportive circle of womxn creatives. We believe that we have a responsibility to lift as we climb, and are keen to support other theatre-makers and artists as we grow ourselves.
Affinity - All experiences of femininity are welcome here! We strive to use our platform to create spaces and pieces of work that are empathetic, thoughtful, and open-minded and will always value the perspectives of others.
